ULTRASOUND SCANS
Oh, those first ultrasound pictures, you could stare at them all day, couldn’t you? Constant thoughts going through your head… who are you little one? Are you a girl or a boy? What is your name going to be? What will you be when you grow up? Most importantly… are you going to remain healthy when we see you at our next scan?
Ultimately that is why we have ultrasound scans during pregnancy, isn’t it? To check the health of our little ones?
Scans of your baby can be the absolute highlight of your pregnancy, but they can also make you feel very anxious approaching your appointment as well.
In the U.K we have two routine scans during our pregnancies:
Around 12 weeks
Around 20 weeks
If at any stage you have any concerns regarding you or your baby’s health, speak to your medical professional straight away.
